Autel MaxiAP AP200 Throttle Relearn

 

Autel MaxiAP AP200 is a Bluetooth OBD2 scanner, it does diagnostics and support many service functions like oil reset, EPB/BMS/SAS reset, DPF regeneration... Today I’m gonna show how to use it to reset the throttle position for a Dodge Nitro 2008, since the gas pedal is electronic.

 

Plug Autel AP200 into the OBD2 port, and turn ignition on.

 

Start the MaxiAP200 app to connect it via Bluetooth.

Here we go to

Service >> Throttle >> Dodge >> Manual selection >> 2008 >> KA-Nitro >> Hot function >> Learn electronic throttle control(ETC)(PCM) >> OK

 

It’ll start actually moving the gas pedal, just follow the prompts to operate:

• Press and hold down the accelerator pedal to the floor, the throttle must be held to the floor.
• Hold down the accelerator strongly to the floor.
• Release the accelerator pedal.
• Do not touch the accelerator pedal.
• Resetting ECU... please wait

Learn electronic throttle control (ETC) passed.

 

Let’s also do a test here, press

Electronic throttle control(ETC) throttle follower test(PCM) >> OK

Note: the engine must be stopped to carry out this test, to carry out this test, press the throttle pedal & the electronic throttle control(ETC) should follow.

 

It shows the voltage, like right now I’m at 1%, when I’m pressing the gas pedal, it’s going up to 77%.

Autel MaxiSys MS906/MS906BT/MK906BT Battery Replacement Tutorial

 

This is a tutorial about how to change battery for Autel MaxiSys MS906/ MK906BT/ MS906BT/ MS906TS scan tool step by step.

 

For Autel MS906TS, MS906BT, MK906BT Tablet

• Make sure that the new battery is good and its specification is 10000mAh 3.7V;

 

• Refer to images below to stick foam on the battery, making sure that the foam is straight sticked;

 

 

• Put the battery inside the battery cover;

 

 

• Assemble the battery block and the bottom shell and then tighten all the screws.

 

 

For Autel MS906 Tablet

• Make sure that the new battery is good and its specification is 5000mAh 3.7V;

 

• If the battery foam also needs to be changed, please use 2pcs foam and place them inside the bottom shell with the sticky sides upward;

 

• Put the battery inside the battery cover;

 

• Assemble the battery block and the bottom shell and then tighten all the screws. (refer to Autel MS906BT/MK906BT step4)

How to Reset an Airbag Light by using Autel MaxiCOM MK908

 Issue :2005 Renault Modus Airbag warning light on,and the doors keep switching from locked to unlocked by themselves.

Tool used:Autel MaxiCOM MK908

It tells 3 fault codes:

• DF070: Driver’s curtain airbag circuit configuration.
• DF068: Front passenger thorax side air bag circuit configuration.
• DF077: Front driver thorax side air bag circuit configuration.

Go out to
Special function >> Configuration >> Reading impact contexts
It says “No impact detected”.

Write configuration >> Front thorax side air bag, driver side




Ignition on and engine stopped. For vehicles fitted with automatic transmissions, position the gear lever in P or N. For electric vehicles, unplug the vehicle charging cable. When the command is finished, return to the FAULTS screen before switching off the ignition.
Press “OK”.

OK >> Select “With”, OK

You’ll find the state switch from ”Without” to “With”.





Continue to go “Front thorax side air bag, passenger side” & “Curtain side air bag, driver’s side” to repeat same operations.
OK >> OK >> Select “With”, OK

Alright, all done according to fault codes, did we solve the problem?
The air bag warning light has missing, turn the ignition off and on again.
It has gone!

Let’s go to read codes,
it says “No fault codes detected.”




Done!

How to Delete Software Downloaded in Autel Tablet?

Many users do not know how and where to find or delete software that had been downloaded in Autel MaxiCOM MK808/ Autel MaxiCOM MK808TS scan tool tablet. This article will help to solve the problem.


Paths Of Software Downloaded (eg.BMW software)

1. ES File Explorer >> Scan >> Vehicle >> Europe >> BMW

If there is one BMW software, delete it.




2. Also delete it if you find one BMW software under below 2 paths

- ES File Explorer >> Scan >> Download



- Maxisys >> Data Manager >> Apps Uninstall

In this way, problem was solved.

How to flash Autel MS906?

1. Download the compressed file and unzip it, find out the “Autel_906” folder;
2. Copy the whole “Autel_906” folder to blank TF card root menu. (The TF card should be formatted to FAT32);
3. Plug the TF card to MS906 card slot;
4. Power on the MS906 and it will go to flash process automatically.

Problem

Solution
Have been given series number, Auteldiag engineer found the MS906 is an older version that has been expired out upgrade period in 2017.

2 ways may work:

1. Try to flash device. It won’t be 100% successful because the flash software package is higher version than device. If flash succeeded, it will require buying this Autel Maxisys MS906 Online One Year Update Service 
    
2. If flash failed, why not think about a new device of latest version: Autel MaxiSys MS906BT or Autel MaxiCOM MK906BT. or a new MS906 Advanced version will work better with updated software.

How to use Autel MX808 to fix the check engine light on

 Issue:The check engine light on and  flashing in Nissan AD Wagon 2014
Tool option:Autel MaxiCheck MX808
Solution:
Find out the OBD2 port, then connect it with Autel MX808.
When you hear a buzz noise, it means connection is successful.

Diagnosis >> Control unit >> Engine >> Read codes



There are 2 fault codes: P0300 & P0420.
It is saying there are 9 times multi CYL Misfire and 2 times TW catalyst SYS-B1.

Let’s go back to erase codes.

Ignition on and engine off? Yes

DTCs and freeze data will be deleted.
Press “Yes” to continue.

Codes have been successfully erased.
Return to read codes to verify.
Press “OK”.

Now the check engine light on dashboard has gone!
